I don’t really understand why this day is in July instead of November or December. Does anyone ever eat pecan pie any other time of the year? Well, apparently I do now.
I used this recipe, and, as promised, it was super easy. I actually had all of the ingredients already from other food holidays, and that’s always a good thing.

My verdict? I’ve never made a pecan pie before, and I’m pretty proud of this. It tastes good. As usual, I don’t know what I’m going to do with an entire pie, but it’s not really a problem I mind having.
