National Lemon Chiffon Cake Day

This is a picture of a lemon chiffon cake that I did not make:

It’s pretty, right? Well, I didn’t want to make a lemon chiffon cake because I didn’t have any reason to make a whole cake, nor did I want to eat a whole cake by myself. I’m not the biggest fan of lemon-flavored desserts, but I decided to go on a mission to find a pre-made lemon chiffon cake. Because I care about the integrity of this blog. Just kidding. But I did want to try.

Apparently, you can find lemon meringue/lemon cream EVERYTHING, but lemon chiffon is basically impossible. Seriously, I found so many versions of various lemon meringue desserts, but not one single lemon chiffon. I don’t even know if I know the difference between the two (yes I do; one involves meringue). So I considered getting a lemon meringue pie, but I didn’t want to eat a lemon meringue pie (see above: thoughts on lemon desserts). How many more times can I say “lemon meringue?”

So I bought this instead:

My verdict? Eh, close enough. And, yes, I did eat that yogurt while sitting in my bed. Don’t my yellow and gray sheets look good with my lemon cream pie yogurt?
