National PB&J Day

IMG_2046Hello!  I’m here to share with you the best recipe ever for PB&J, because actually, yes, there is a wrong way to do it.

Ingredients:

Skippy Super Chunky Peanut Butter, Strawberry Preserves, Whole Wheat Bread.

What you want to do is spread the peanut butter on one slice of bread, and the jelly on the other slice using a ratio of twice as much peanut butter as jelly.  What you DON’T want to do, which my babysitter once did and ruined my entire sandwich/life, is spread the jelly on top of the peanut butter on the same slice of bread.  This just makes a gooey, ugly mess.  What you also NEVER want to do is use grape jelly.  It’s gross and will ruin everything.  Raspberry is okay in  a pinch if you don’t mine having seeds stuck in your molars for the rest of your life.

Peanut Butter and Jelly, when made correctly, has the power to transport you back to your child hood and erase all the stress of adult life.  I’m definitely going to be making these more often.

If you’re really excited about PB&J this is for you.
