I never put much thought into what toffee is made of, but today I learned that’s it’s just sugar, water, and butter. And incredibly easy to make.
I followed this recipe, but I quartered it so I wouldn’t make that much.
You just cook the butter, sugar, water, and some almonds in a skillet, then put it in a pan:
Let the chocolate melt, put some more almonds on top, let it cool, break it apart:
And, voila, you’ve got toffee:
My verdict? It’s sugar, butter, chocolate, and almonds. How could it be bad? This was super tasty, but, my god, my teeth. Be careful not to pull out a filling. And definitely don’t eat this if you have braces.
