Happy New Year fellow foodies! What better way to start the new year than with a hangover? That’s really what today should be called: National Hangover Day. I’m sure most people have been suffering throughout the day (guilty: I am not), so whoever created this holiday was right in thinking to just keep drinking instead of doing anything else. Hence, National Bloody Mary Day.
Now, I hope you properly celebrated National Champagne Day, and if you read yesterday’s post, you’ll know that Kaely and I were not suffering like the rest of the general population was. But, we were all about boozy brunch, no matter how sober we were when we set out on our journey this morning. Believe it or not, I’ve never had a Bloody Mary, so I was quite excited. I didn’t really know what to expect, but I didn’t like it. Not one bit. I suppose there are many different types of Bloody Mary’s and perhaps the one I had just wasn’t well made, but half a one was enough for me. I passed if off to Kaely and indulged in a mimosa instead. Whatever. A drink is a drink. And the brunch was goooood.
So happy recovering, everyone. Here’s to many more food adventures in 2015!
