Like with World Farm Animals’ Day, World Food Day is not the stereotypical food holiday we celebrate here on this blog. However, I think it’s a really (actually) important thing to talk about.
For those of you who don’t know, World Food Day was started in honor of the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organization by the United Nations in 1945. The goal of this organization is to defeat world hunger and educate the world on food, agriculture, and more.
This day reminds us that, for those of us frivolous enough to be able to have silly food blogs, we are unbelievably lucky. There are so many people in the world that barely have enough food for one meal a day. So, let’s do something to stop that, shall we?
